(2) @JackCurryYES: Cam Schlittler is likely to start Game 2 for Yankees. Reading the tea leaves, he’s scheduled to pitch on Monday & presumably 5 days later on 3/21. That would give him one extra day of rest to face SF on 3/27. Pitch count will be about 65-70 so Yanks will have full pen behind him. (3) @JackCurryYES: I watched Volpe zip through a full speed/high intensity defensive workout and asked about it. “I’m doing everything that way,” Volpe said. He will begin hitting live BP in about 2 weeks and plans to push the intensity with that, too. This looms as an interesting year for Volpe. (4) @JackCurryYES: I loved this Cole-ism when he discussed fiddling with the grip on his change up. “It wasn’t listening to me,” he said. So say the pitch whisperer.
